A ggod hotel for a short stay. We were traveling through Paris on way to airport. Very close to train staions but off noisey streets.

The breakfast was excellent but the price quoted on the web did not make clear the breakfast was not included. However at 11 euros it was good value and you could eat enough to last until the evening! The hotel is very near the station for eurostar. A little bar round the corner to the left made really excellent coffee.

We found the hotel very clean and hospitable, a good value for the price charged. The location was most convenient both to the airport and to any place in town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were on the small side, but I understand that this is common in Paris. The individual air conditioning was definitely a plus. We were only disappointed to learn that, contrary to what is advertised on venere.com, there is no internet connection in the rooms. We did not have a chance to inquire further and wonder whether there was a misunderstanding or whether the person at the desk who answered our question was not well informed.

Nothing went wrong with our stay, but there was no charm to this place. Granted, we came in at midnight, and left the next morning, so we may not have had enough time to fully access the hotel. The room was clean. The bathroom was as big as the room, but the shower was not large, and the towels were very small, stratchy, and grey. The breakfast was not particularly good or bad. Overall, the price was right (98 euros), but I would not stay there again because I believe there are many other places in this price range that can offer something better (for example: Terminus Lyon). The one good thing I will say is it is close to Gard de Nord.

Nice small hotel with fare price. Only thing I missed was a tool to open a bottle of wine.

Ideally situated when arriving by Eurostar being no more than five minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord (really!). Also only a five minute walk to the Gare de l'Est in the other direction. Room was good with shower room en-suite (including hair drier) and air conditioning. Typical continental breakfast with boiled eggs if you wanted them. Staff were helpful and mostly spoke English but it was useful that we can speak some French. Any future time we visit Paris we would definitely stay here.

L'hotel è molto comodo come posizione, il personale di buon livello, la camera pulita, acqua calda a getto fortissimo, buona la colazione anche in termini di scelta. Il metro si può prendere a gare du nord e gare de l'est (attenzione in questo secondo caso alle scalette di notte che dalla stazione conducono all'hotel). Il portiere ci ha tenuto le valige per tutta una giornata

location very convenient, but noisy, not very good section of Paris. Since Metro system in Paris is excellent, I would stay in a nicer location next time and take the Metro. Room was very small and not very clean. Also, we had a visitor pounding our door at 5:00Am, who obviously wanted a different type of house.

Hotel localizzato a 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione della metro "Gare de l'Est". L'ambiente circostante è discreto tuttavia la vicinanza della metro consente facili spostamenti verso tutti i punti della città. L'hotel offre buoni servizi e - come confermatoci via mail prima di partire - la colazione era inclusa nel prezzo; ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo. La nostra stanza, non fumatori e dotata di aria condizionata (anche questo richiesto prima di partire e confermato all'arrivo dalla struttura), era di ridotte dimensioni, tuttavia vivibile per noi che stavamo nella stessa solo la notte. Il nostro soggiorno è durato una settimana.

Hotel Appia is strategically located between two major train stations: Est and Nord. That was the main reason I picked it, and in the end the location came handy, when we had to run from the hotel to the Gare du Nord in the nick of time and still made the train. Beware that the area surrounding the train station (any train station) is not of the highest class, so if you don't need to be close to the trains, don't be. We never felt threatened, but the surroundings simply failed to add to the Paris experience. Staff is very nice, some speak English, some don't. Continental breakfast (included) was great. On an unrelated note: the taxi ride from the Trocadero (Eiffel Tower) to Appia was only 12 euros, so look into it before dismissing Paris taxi as too expensive and taking the Metro. And if you do take the Metro, watch your pockets and purses.
