si tratta di un piccolo albergo, posizionato in una bellissima zona di parigi, vicinissma a Saint Germain de Pres, elegante e strategica, ottimamente collegata da 4 linee di metro, le cui fermate sono a poca distanza dall'hotel. L'albergo è silenzioso e pulito, l'atmosfera è molto casalinga, la qualcosa significa "calda e accogliente". il portiere di giorno è molto gentile, attento alle richieste delal clientela e prodigo di informazioni. parla abbastanza correttamente tre inglese, tedesco e italiano (oltre il francese). Pe chi ha viaggiato come me con bambini di 6/9 anni, l'albergo è perfetto, così come le stanze. io ho dormito in una quadrupla e questa era molto ampia. generalmente le stanze in fondo al corridoio di ogni piano sono le migliori. le altre possono essere in alcuni casi anche molto piccole. tutte affacciano sulla rue chomel, una strada silenziosissima. l'unica piccola carenza forse è il servizio delal colazione: la stanza dove si svolge è piccola e con pochi tavoli e quando l'albergo è pieno bisogna fare un poco in fretta. il servizio non è perfettissimo, ma comunque le cameriere sono gentili e disponibili. d'altra parte, è uno dei pochissimi alberghi il cui prezzo include anche la colazione. e quando si viaggia con bambini è molto importante. per la mia esperienza, il rapporto qualità prezzo è più che buono, quindi mi sento di consigliarlo. anche il livello di pulizia è confortante. i bagni sono all'italiana. lo consiglio a tutti.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Hotel. Die Zimmer sind nicht bessonders gross, aber sauber. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes *** Sterne Hotel, noch dazu für diesen Preis!

Das Zimmer war für Paris sehr geräumig. Wir waren mit 2 Erwachsenen sowie 3 Kindern (11 Jahre, 8 Jahre, Baby) in einem großen Raum. Das Frühstück war o.k. und das Personal war immer hilfsbereit. Parken vor dem Haus ist am Wochenende kostenfrei möglich (sofern gerade ein Platz frei ist), ansonsten ist ca. 50m entfernt eine Tiefgarage (? 24,- pro Tag). Die Metrostation ist nicht sehr weit entfernt. Alles zusammen genommen ein absolut empfehlenswertes Haus.

This was a great hotel to stay in as a tourist. It is in a fantastic location - within walking distance of nearly every major site (Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Seine River, St. Sulpice, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, etc.), within a few minutes walk of any number of excellent restaurants, a large grocery store (Grande Patisserie) was down the street, two metro stops were around the corner and, to top it off, it was on a quiet street, yet was located in a busy area for shopping, restaurants, etc. We walked everywhere, or took the metro, and felt extremely safe, even at night, in this neighbourhood. The hotel were exceptional - staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful with any request, were great at giving directions to the sites, and gave excellent suggestions for dining nearby. Although some of the double rooms are quite small, we had a triple room on the fifth floor which was very roomy and had a very large bathroom, french doors that led onto a little balcony, and a beautiful view of the surrounding rooftops. Be prepared to take the stairs at times, as the lift is tiny, but the winding staircase makes this fun. Although the hotel was busy, it was very quiet. The air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was a bit boring (a croissant and baguette with jam), but the coffee and hot chocolate were great. This hotel is a great value, considering its location and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Free internet in the lobby was an added bonus, as well. Hotel Chomel and the staff far exceeded our expectations.

We found the hotel exactly as described on the comments of other people: the rooms were small and forget to enter in the elevator with your luggage: it is too small, two persons and no more can fit in. However the location is exellent, metro and monuments at waslking distance, the rooms and the bathroom clean. Breakfast is included although it is not the continental one: it was tea/coffee + a croissant and a baguette with marmelade. we would recommend it because considering the location, it offered good quality vs price.

We stayed at the hotel in mid-Aug 2006. This was my first time in Paris. The major pluses about the hotel is that it is in a quiet street, there is a metro stop right behind the building (which we used extensively), and it is centrally located. The service was not very friendly (although the guy at the desk during the days did let us borrow his umbrella when it was raining, and he was fluent in at least French, Spanish, and English, perhaps more). Breakfast was sub-par with only a piece of bread, croissant, butter, jelly, coffee and OJ (don't be fooled by the pictures!). The coffee and OJ were excellent. There is a lady that brings you the food (not a buffet) and she doesn't crack a smile. The breakfast area and lobby is small. There is free internet in the lobby. The rooms were very small (we had booked a Quad, but they gave us 2 doubles, of which they had informed me before we arrived, so it was OK) but we didn't stay in the rooms too much. There was a tiny typical European lift, or else you walk up a spiral staircase. Overall, if you are just looking for a place to crash at night, this hotel would do just fine, but don't expect 4-star service. Although my stay was fine, I would probably try another hotel next time I go to Paris.

This was our first time at Hotel Chomel and in Paris and couldn't have asked for a better start. We arrived early in the day due to a flight connection and the staff found us a room even though they weren't ready. Even gave us a room upgrade at no charge. Maps were handed out and directions given in English. The room was bigger than I expected and clean. Once we got unpacked and headed out we were suprised at what a great location it was in. We could and did walk to all sites. The Metro was 2 minutes away which we rarely used. The area was beautiful and very quiet. Lots of banks, restaurants and shops near by. Breakfast was included and always ready and fresh. The staff always helped out day and night and there was even free Internet to e-mail our family. I would definitely return here based on the value and price and gladly recommend it to others (already have to a work friend). Jeff and Sarah

Creo que no he estado en el mismo hotel que los 298 huépedes que han dejado sus comentarios y que me animaron a contratar este hotel. La recepción fue simplemente correcta, Nos dieron una habitación que no estaba limpia todavía (aunque lo solucionaron inmediatamente) y por supuesto el baño no era tan grande como he leído en anteriores comentarios (los servicios básicos). A mejorar: el desayuno, algunas tomas de luz más en las habitaciones (hay que contar que casi todos llevamos un celular que cargar y una cámara de fotos o un pc) la conexión a Internet en el lobby. Lo mejor la situación y la tranquilidad de la calle.

The location on a quiet street was certainly ideal. By French standards, the room would be considered spacious. It was clean, had very high ceilings, good light and the French doors opened to a small balcony. There was an alcove with an additional bed since we were a family of 4.The main bedroom had 2 double beds. The bathroom was large, updated and had good water pressure and ample hot water. There was also a newer, streamlined air-conditioner installed at ceiling height. Relatives of ours stayed at the l'Hotel for US $400 a night and did not have AC! The narrow hallway led to the room from an equally narrow, tiny elevator. It definitely could not accomodate large, copious bodies! The staff was courteous and most helpful and in general, we would stay at the Chomel again. The location is hard to beat and the hotel offers a very nice, French atmosphere. Given the $200 a day price range including breakfast, we felt we were more than adequately taken care of.

A nice quiet hotel within walking distance of most places of interest in the centre of Paris. Sevres Babylon Metro station is about 50m from the door. The room was comfortable and good sized in comparison with similar hotels in this price range. Breakfast is included in the price. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

We enjoyed Hotel Chomel. It is in a fabulous location. Within 20 minutes walking to Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. The metro is right around the corner. The Rodin Museum is just a nice stroll down Rue Varenne. Shops are right around the corner on Rue du Four and beyond. The street is quiet at night. Our last night there was a lot of hammering next door for some reason between 11 pm and 3 am. I forgot to ask the desk the next morning what was going on. Our room was a quad with a double, twin, and cot. We were comfortable. Plenty of room to move about. Plenty of space to put suitcases and clothes. Bathroom was very clean with just a little bit of mildew in the corner of the shower. Not much shelf space if you have a lot of stuff but we were 4 girls and had no complaints. Breakfast got a little boring but it was there and convenient. I would definitely stay here again because of the location. We would eat over in the St. Michel or St. Germain areas at night and walk back to the hotel. We always felt safe. They need to figure out how to keep their internet working on the lobby computer. Most of the time it was down. By the time we got in, though, we were too tired to worry about it.

The hotel was extremely easy to find from the subway stop. The room was larger than we expected. When we asked the front desk about a subway route to the airport, they informed us that it was just as cheap and faster to take a taxi. We did not account for the spring time change so we were an hour late to the airport and had to take a taxi. The front desk called a van taxi immediately for us and we made our flight with plenty of time to spare. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to all the great paris sights.

we took 2 doubles,1 twin + 1 quad for 2 families,costing 360euro's for 4 adults + 6 kids(£257 for 1 night for 4 rooms).For what we needed,which was a clean and quiet hotel,reasonably priced in a central location,this is exactly what we got.It's very basic,but for £55 a room its fine.We got breakfast included which was fine-oj,hot drink,croissant+french bread.It was also well positioned for the metro-just round the corner and 20 mins walk from thee eiffel tower.

Very nice and quiet room on top floor overlooking elementary school and quiet street. Friendly staff whom appreciated our attempts at French, and spoke perfect English. Excellent coffee and croissants in the morning. Yes, the room and beds are a little on the small side, but that's Paris. Well located in central area close to Metro station. Overall, we were very happy with everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it.

This was a very quaint Inn in a fantastic location, literally a short walk to the Musee D'Orsay and Louvre museums and Notre Dame and extremely close to metro stations. The staff were very nice. Upon arrival from the US, we were able to check in our room early as they know flights for the US arrive in the morning. The staff are multi-lingual and extremely helpful in pointing out directions. There is free internet access in the lobby making it convenient to send and receive emails. The breakfast was adequate (fresh bread & Croissant, coffe and orange juice) and the room was fantastic. They were very helpful in calling cabs for us when needed. There is a school across the street and can get noisy in the morning, but we awoke early each day anyway. I would definately recommend Hotel Chomel and would absolutely stay there again!

The hotel Chomel is an excellant hotel. We wud definitely recommend it to others. The hotel staff is very helpful and the room we were given was very good. But we had received a discount of 4% on Venere but the hotel staff was unware of any such referal schemes. They still gave us the discount.

Very well localized, with near facilities (metro, restaurants, bus points, laundries, stores, supermarket). Cordial attendance of the staff. The room is very good and heating is excellent. The lift is really small and fits, in the maximum, 2 persons and 1 (just one) bag, or 3 persons. We would return, certainly.

La chambre était assez grande (chambre quadruple), la rue est très calme ce qui, compte tenu de la position géographique stratégique (à 2 pas du magasin Le bon marché)est un atout très important. La station de métro est proche et centrale ce qui permet une rapidité et une commodité de déplacement. Excellent. I found everything fine here..there is also free Internet connection and rooms are small but quiet and clean! also it is very near the metro, tre stops and you are in Eiffel. The right choice for a weekend in Paris

Would we stay here again? Absolutely Yes! The Hotel Chomel was perfect for us. The location was great - close to Paris sights (Tour Eiffel was 15 minutes walk), great shops (Le Grand Epicerie) and beautiful parks (champ parc de mars). We loved the neighbourhood! Our room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable.

Close to St. Germain (shopping), Notre Dame, Louvre, and Sevres Babylone Metro Stop (2 blocks). Rooms were quiet and updated. Breakfast typical. If you are claustrophobic, don't take the elevator, it is very small! Will only hold 1 person with two pieces of luggage. Overall, nice place. Would reccommend for the price.

The location of the hotel is excellent,they provided us with a cot for out 2-year-old, and the balcony was nice. Everything else was unsatisfactory with the primary drawback being the room size, which was incredibly small, the dining area was ridiculously small, the breakfast was painfully poor and stingy. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in Europe.

We are a family travelling as a group of 7. An elevator and air conditioning were particular concerns as we were travelling with grandparents. The hotel was able to accomodate us in a room with 4 beds and a room with 3 beds. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff went out of their way to help us whenever possible. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return.

I would definitely stay at the Chomel again - it is in a nice area, with many restaurants and shops nearby, including a big gourmet market about a block away. I found the front desk staff to be quite helpful - I needed a cab at a busy time, and the staff member went to quite a bit of effort to do this. There is an internet connection in the lobby, which is convenient.

Hotel entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Nichtraucherzimmer waren wichtig. Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel war gut, trotz Beeinträchtigung durch eine Baustelle bei der Metro. Rückmeldung der Reservierung ist verbesserungsfähig.

We had a lovely stay at the Chomel. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The room was a good size for a family of 4. The only luxury I would have liked was coffee making facilities and prices for the drinks in the mini bar. The location of the hotel was excellent, it took about 30mins to walk to Eiffel Tower and 30 mins to walk to Notre Dame. The hotel is in a lovely quiet street very near to a metro station. We would definitely be booking a stay in the Chomel again!

good location, metro terminal convenient, hard to find good restaurants and open hours are very inconvenient. The hotel it's ok to stay for a few days, hotel staff speaks english.

The room was small but we expected that. The breakfast was excellent consisting of croissant, bread, coffee and orange juice. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. English is spoken. Centrally located and most everything is in walking distance. I recommend this hotel.

I took a solo to trip to Paris just to experinece the city for myself. When got to the hotel and checked in they told me to take th elevator, which didn't have the sliding doors I'm used to it swung open like a regular door. I got in the tiny elevator that was barely large enough for my luggage and myself. I knew that this place was special. When I got off the elevator I realized that it had stopped 1 floor below mine, but i didn't go any hire. So I had to climb 12 steps in windy narrow walled staircase to my room. Which was sufficiently large, warm, incredibly comfortable, and had a hot shower. The staff was also incredible they knew my name with in the first of hour of being there and greeted me when ever I walked passed them. In addition they also reccomdned some great restuarnats that I would have never found if I followed my tourist guide. I guess I'm an easy to please traveller... a hot shower, a bed, and service with a smile. But I know that thats not something you get everywhere. I will definetely stay here next time I'm in Paris.

Hotel Chomel is in a good location close to the underground and walking distance to almost all major attractions. There are many cafes / restaurants in the area and good shopping nearby. The hotel is on a quiet side street. The rooms are spacious. I would DEFINITELY stay there again and would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Questa gente che gestisce gli hotel a Parigi a mio parere, è consapevole del fatto che nella loro città c'é molto turismo di massa, gente che molto probabilmente non si vedrà più per una seconda volta, solo questo mi fa capire perché trattano i clienti quasi con fastidio. Dopo la riservazione fatta con il vostro sito abbiamo telefonato direttamente all'hotel per avere le due camere almeno allo stesso piano,quando siamo arrivati all'hotel abbiamo constato che la nostra richiesta non era stata presa in considerazione e la porta della mia camera si trovava nella saletta adibita alla colazione.Solo dopo continui reclami mi é stata data una camera al sesto piano mentre i miei compagni di viaggio si trovavano al secondo piano.

The service was excellent. The room was tiny. Breakfast consisted of a croissant and a piece of french bread with tea or coffee and juice. Not impressive, but the bread was fresh! The location was within walking distance to the Orsay and the Rodin museums and the Eiffel tower. It was a quiet street. The metro station closest was being worked on at night, so after 9 pm you had to take the next closest stop. We enjoyed our stay!

The staff are very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. All public areas are kept clean at all times. Although on the small side the rooms are cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis and there is always a fresh supply of towels. The continental breakfast is adequate and sets you up for the day. The hotel is very conveniently located being within a short walk to the nearest metro station and if you fancy a walk it is only 10 minutes to the Latin Quarter and all its restauraunts.

We had 3 rooms on the 5th floor. The rooms are small but clean with up to date bathrooms. The air conditioning works and the mini bar is a welcome addition. The elevator is small but very usable. The staff was helpful. Price/quality is excellent and the included breakfast is great to start the day. Great location near the metro and just steps from "Le Bon Marche". Several good restaurants within walking distance.

Traveling through Italy for 3 weeks, we booked most of our stays through Venere. All but one of those stays were above average. Hotel Chomel in Paris was that one whch was not. Infact, the entire experience of Hotel Chomel almost ruined our excitement of being in Paris! The location was almost impossible to find. Two taxi drivers and a policeman were all unable to tell us where the street was located. My friend and I walked around for 2 hours at 1:00am trying to find the hotel. The telephone number that was listed, was not working. Finally we found a taxi driver that had an atlas in the car and was able to look up the street. We arrived at 2:00am and the hotel deskman was very rude to us about being so late. We landed very late at night in Paris, had a few moments to run to the Eiffel Tower, and then sleep at our hotel before leaving the next day. Hotel Chomel was filled with very rude emlpoyees, and the location alone is worth looking for a new place to stay. There is nothing redeeming about this hotel. But, book another through venere, because all of our other experinces have been wonderful!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Very helpful staff! Convenient location! We were 4 of us so seemed a bit wanting on space but how much time does one spend in the hotel room on holidays anyways? Overall, enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it.

Our stay was a mixed bag. Unfortunately, the previous people that was in our room and thrown up on the floor and tried to clean it up themselves. The cleaning staff didn't know about it so when we arrived, there was a noticeable lingering odor that plagued our stay. Otherwise, the room was in good condition and relatively spacious. The breakfast offering was good though service was slow. The concierge was very helpful though and the location was excellent. I'd probably stay again.

A very nice small hotel with great location. We had a familyroom on the topfloor and it was a typical 3star hotel room, nice and clean. The staff was very helpfull and we will stay on this hotel next time in Paris.

This hotel is a great value for the money. The location was excellent, near lots of shops and in walking distance of the Latin Quarter and the Musee d'Orsay. The staff was very helpful, and I liked the fact that breakfast was included. It was the typical old-fashioned French breadfast...croissants, bread, jams, butter, juice and coffee. I will definately return to this hotel when I go back to Paris.

Chomel is well located. Subway is just few steps away and the surroundings made the walk towards the St. Germain area easy. The location of the hotel is in a nice area and is convenient to several different subway lines which makes getting around Paris much easier. Restaurants, brasseries, cafes are all within a few minutes walk. One thing we were suprised to discover was that breakfast was included in the price of the room which was not disclosed upon booking the reservation or check in. Our room was small, just like the elevator which could only hold one person and 1 piece of luggage. We would not hesitate to return to the Hotel Chomel.

The Chomel staff greeted us exceptioanlly well upon our arrival and were very helpful in recommending nearby restaurants. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and the distance off Rue Pail afforded very quiet nights. The Chomel's location afforded easy walking to the Eiffel, Notre Dame and excellent shopping. We will definitely return to the Chomel when we next visit Paris.

We were 2 adults and 1 baby. Over all the stay was good. The rooms are small but have all the basics and the bathroom has a bath tub with shower, not a walk in shower. They provided us with a travel cot for our baby. The breakfast area is very small and breakfast is very basic. From talking to others this size of room is expected in Paris. The location was good. 2 train stations less then 10 min walk. We paid 204 euros for a sunday /monday checkout tuesday (1st wk in june 05) i cant really say anything really bad, except the breakfast was basic. We still enjoyed our stay, although dont go in expecting a huge place.

Great room for a great price. Room 61 is a bit small for 4 people, and the view of the Eiffel Tower is minimal, but still nice. Only deterent was that the closest metro stop was closed for construction the whole time we were there. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. As a bonus, breakfast was free too!

We were very happy at the Chomel. Our room was very comfortable and in an excellent and safe location. The area was not very touristy which we liked. There is a convenient metro stop near the hotel, however it was closed most of the time for repairs. The staff at the hotel was helpful but not particularly friendly which we found to be the typical Parisian attitude towards tourists (or maybe it was because we are Americans). One thing I was suprised to discover upon checking out was that breakfast was included in the price of the room which was not disclosed upon booking the reservation or check in. We missed breakfast everyday and were quite disappointed to find out that all those missed breakfasts had cost us 10 euro each for four days. However, I would stay at the Chomel again if I ever return to Paris.

Hotel Chomel is centrally located. We were able to walk to many sights, catch the double decker within a five-minute walk, and also use the metro within a ten-minute walk. The rooms were small but clean, and they were priced fairly in comparison to the others we used during our three weeks thru Italy and Paris. Breakfast was the normal croissant and bread. Quietness depends on what time of the year you go due to a school being locat
